Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development
"Teaching is not a profession; it’s a passion."

We are a student chapter of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD), based at Ohio Northern University in Ada, Ohio.

ASCD is an educational organization involved in publishing and workshops, as well as a yearly conference in the spring.

Locally, our chapter is quite active, regularly cleaning a two-mile stretch of Rt. 309, sponsoring educational and inspirational speakers, washing cars, tutoring area students, and taking enriching field trips, among other things!

Each year ASCD  members have the chance to attend an educational conference complete with lectures, workshops, and plenty of great teaching ideas.

We meet once a month, and membership is open to all education majors who are interested in becoming life-long learners and bonding with future colleagues.

The 2005-2006 school year is our fifth as an ASCD chapter, and we are quite excited to have Dr. Diana Garver as our advisor!  She brings with her a multitude of experience in the public school setting as well as in higher education.
